is it true that i you go into a new housing development without your real estate agent they cant represent you
whosajiggawhat? asked:
while driving in California, we saw some signs for a new housing development while driving down the street so we went in to check it out. we liked the place and are now thinking of buying there. is it true that we cant be represented by a real estate agent now that we went in on our own and not at his direction?

what i think you are asking is since you went into the development, talk to their agent and viewed houses with the agent in the development can your agent who you have been working with that did not accompany you that day get a commission on the deal?
if so the builder under this fact patter has no obligation to split the commission with your Realtor
