Should I call a real estate agent , for a single bed room apartment?

ThinkClearWater asked:

I am trying to move away from my parents . I have a job now . But It seems hard to find an apartment near my place . I live in Rockland county ( it’s south of NY ) and a little north of the city .

How do i go about finding an apartment , other than using the websites because they are all costly apartments . I can’t afford those . Any Tips On how to find one in the real world ?

Contacting a real estate agent is a good idea. They have access to apartments that havent been posted on any of those websites.
